The Many Faces We Wear

We walk among the crowd with faces covered, 

Hiding who we truly are, discovering

That the world is harsh and unkind,

And showing weakness is just not our kind.

So we put on a mask, a disguise, 

A facade to hide our tears and lies, 

A shield from the pain and the fears, 

And a cover for the memories and tears.

The mask of confidence, bold and bright, 

Hides the insecurities and the fright. 

The mask of strength, to hide the weak, 

And the mask of happiness, when we seek.

But beneath these masks, we're all the same, 

With the same hopes, the same fears, the same pain. 

We all wear these masks every day, 

Hiding the truth in a different way.

So let's take off the masks, and be free, 

And show the world who we're meant to be. 

For the only way to truly live, 

Is to let the world, our true selves give.

Finally Found

 

I thought I'd never find the one, 

To share my life and all its fun, 

But after all those lonely years, 

You came along and dried my tears.

The world was brighter, colors more vivid, 

My heart was full, and my soul livid, 

With the love and joy you brought my way, 

I knew right then that you were here to stay.

Gone were the days of empty nights, 

Of hopeless dreams and lost delights, 

For now I had you, my heart's desire, 

To hold and cherish, to love and admire.

And so I thank the stars above, 

For sending me your perfect love, 

For finally ending my lonely strife, 

And blessing me with a brand new life.

Finally Home

Alone for so long, I roamed in the night,
Searching for someone, to make things right.
My heart longed for a love that was true,
A love that would make my dreams come through.

Days turned into weeks, weeks into years,
The hope in my heart was replaced by fears.
But deep inside, I held onto faith,
That I would find my love before it was too late.

Then, just when I thought all was lost,
A light shone through, at an unfathomable cost.
My eyes met yours, and I knew right then,
That this was the love I had been waiting for since when.

With you by my side, the world became bright,
All my worries vanished, my heart felt light.
The joy that I felt, I cannot express,
